Day walk and club dinner at Rucksacks Braemar, one night stay.

Much of the detail of this event is yet to be decided and will be posted on Whatsapp and Spond nearer the time.

It has been decided that we will not hold a Burns Supper this year; instead we will have an optional day walk followed this year by a Curry Night and overnight stay at Rucksacks. Cost will be £30/person which will include accommodation, food and maybe a glass of wine. Full details of the event have yet to be finalised but car-share will depart Stonehaven or walkers will make their own way to Braemar.

Meeting point in Braemar will be posted on Spond and the walk route will be decided on the day taking the weather into account.

It is very likely that there will be snow so bring your ice-axe, crampons etc. (Club ice axes can be borrowed from Karin), and come prepared for the cold.

Members who don’t want to take part in the walk should make their own arrangements to be at Rucksacks before 19.30hrs, meal will start at 20.00hrs.

Cost for the night is £30 for accommodation, food and maybe a glass of wine, this will also apply to members who sleep in their vans as they can use all the bunkhouse facilities and includes the price of the meal.
