Glenridding can be accessed from J40, M6, follow signs for Ullswater (A66→A592) along the north side of Ullswater until you reach Glenridding. Follow signs for the YHA, past the Travellers Rest pub then turn RIGHT up the hill then LEFT up Greenside Road and on to its end.

Almond Lodge is the last building on the left.

The building was originally home to Greenside lead and silver mine offices and workshops. Almond Lodge accommodates 28 in 4 bedrooms offering a bit more comfort than the traditional basic hostel and has ample parking.

Facilities include:
Fully equipped kitchen, lounge with log burner, separate dining room, map/planning room, 4 bathrooms either en suite or next to the bedroom, 4 showers and a bath. Bunks have comfortable full size mattresses but you need to bring all your own bedding, sleeping bag, sheet/duvet and pillows. There is a drying room. WiFi is available.

The local village of Glenridding has a couple of shops and a variety of good pubs and restaurants and there are large supermarkets in Penrith a 30 min drive away.

£40 deposit is required to book your place, Book by clicking “Attending” on Spond and pay your £40 deposit. Payment can be paid into the Club’s bank account, Sort Code 80-09-68 Account no 00830247
