27th November 2019 : NEMT Adam Watson Commemorative Lecture
Adam Watson Commemorative Lecture will be held at 7:30 pm, Wednesday 27th November 2019 at the James Hutton Institute.
The event in recognition of the enormous contribution of Dr Adam Watson to science and conservation in the mountain environment of North East Scotland. Widely regarded as the leading authority on the ecology of the Cairngorms for many years, his knowledge, experience and generosity provided invaluable assets to the NEMT’s work.
Following an introduction and short video, we present the main lecture from our invited speaker: What now for The Living Mountain?
The Scottish Government have declared a climate emergency, with the aim to take us to net-zero carbon emissions by 2045. What will this mean for land use in the second largest National Park in Europe?
