28th – 30th November 2019 : Dundee Mountain Festival

It showcases an international programme of speakers, as well as award winning films and exhibitions, mainly held in the Bonar Hall, Dundee. We also have a full supporting exhibition of art, photography, trade and voluntary organisations stands and displays. The Thursday evening event will be held in The Steps Theatre, Wellgate Centre, Dundee Central Library.

Thursday Evening: Steps Theatre. 28th November 2019
An exciting double act of speakers this evening, in a new venue for us, the Steps Theatre.

Calum Maclean is the charismatic wild swimmer who has featured on BBC Scotlands online The Social series of shorts as well as being the star of BBC Alba’s Dhan Uisge (Into the Water).

Nadir Khan is a well known photographer and film maker, and will talk about his recent projects, and promote his book, ‘Extreme Scotland’, a photographic journey through Scottish adventure sport and at the Dundee Mountain Film festival will be talking about the making of the book, both the highs and the lows and a behind the scenes look at some of the shots in the book.

Friday Evening: Bonar Hall. 29th November 2019

After our first session of brilliant Banff World Tour films, Himalyan Legend Doug Scott will recall his now legendary epic descent of the Ogre. Doug is also passionate about the charity he has established, Community Action Nepal which will have a trade stall at the festival.
