Often known as the Haughs o Cromdale, a long arc above the old settlement of Cromdale. These hills held many illicit stills for whisky and is home to one of the oldest distilleries left. The summit to Clash nam Piobair or best known as the Pipers Stone, an old Jacobite fighting ground, where the stone marks his death. The other large cairn was built to commemorate a coronation and the larger one is the Jubilee cairn which has a visitors book hidden somewhere in the depths. There are splendid views of Glenlivet and Grantown and to the West the Cairngorm high tops.
